Our program adapts and offers the valuable wisdom of the ancient teachings of the Tradition of the Himalayan Masters, as interpreted by Swami Rama and Swami Veda Bharati to our modern life. As science develops we become more informed of how precious, timeless and universal these teachings are. They help us to become more aware of our body’s posture, habits and life’s attitudes. They show us how to better integrate body, breath and mind improving our health, concentration and presence.
In private or in office context, our yoga and meditation classes empower you to approach your health by taking a step back and reflecting upon the discomfort symptoms experienced. Over this foundation, we support and motivate you to establish your own yoga and/or meditation routine so that you can fully integrate the practice in your life.
Who we are
MARIA MIGUEL RIBEIRO, PhD.
It was my life experience as an academic researcher, consultant and project manager that informed and inspired me to pursue a career in teaching yoga and meditation. In the periods of frenetic work to deliver results and challenging deadlines, I found the peace, balance, groundness, mental clarity and joy in my daily practice of yoga and meditation. Later, in my journey as a mother, I found that the deep and gentle flows of physical yoga and breath practices helped me to adapt and stay connected to my inner peace, amid such a profound life transformation.
I practice yoga since 1998, and am a certified teacher since 2012. I completed a 500-hour Himalayan Yoga Tradition teacher training along with two other 200-hour teacher trainings, including those in the styles of Vinyasa and Sivananda school. Most recently I returned from two years of intensive training with the Gurukulam Programme at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama, in India.
Some of the teachers with whom I have worked with, and who most profoundly influence my work are:
I am now currently engaged in the task of creating programs that offer these teachings to the society from which I originate.
ALAN RICHARD, Physio.Osteo.
For me yoga is a way to become aware about our physical, energetic and mental bodies. Using yoga and meditation to experiment with our limits and gradually expand them. It is a way to find pleasure in life and a feeling of inner peace.
